Eid Ul Fitr 2023

Eid Ul Fitr (Arabic: عيد الفتر‎, meaning “joy of breaking the fast”) is one of the two major religious festivals of Islam. In religious terms, it is also described as Ya omul Zayez (meaning: Day of Reward).  After a long month of fasting or fasting, Muslims celebrate this day with great joy and religious duties. On this day, everyone greets everyone with “Eid Mubarak”.

The significance of Eid-Ul-Fitr is immense in many ways.  In this regard, the words of the Holy Prophet may be recommended.  He said, “When the day of Eid-Ul-Fitr comes, Allah Rabbul Alamin, those who fasted; Glorious about them to the angels and said – “O my angels, you used to say!  What should a worker who performs his work perfectly deserve?  The angels replied, O Lord!

He deserves full remuneration.  The angels, my servants have performed the duty prescribed for them, and have even gone out for the Eid (Wajib) prayer while supplicating.  In such a case, by My majesty, majesty, high status, and exaltation, I will surely answer their prayers.

After that Allah Almighty announced to His servants;  Go back, “I have forgiven you and turned your ordinary sins into virtues.”  The beloved Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Then they return (home) in a state of forgiveness.”  The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, the angels of God came down to the streets and stood in the streets shouting – Muslims!  Hurry to Allah.

He accepts your small prayers and bestows numerous virtues.  You were commanded to fast, and you observed it properly.  You have worshiped Allah awake even at night.  So go, accept from Him the reward of your worship.  (Tabarani) The words of Allah in Qudsi in the hadith – “Fasting is for me and I will repay it.” This declaration of Allah on the day of Eid is burning proof of it.  Eid is not only joy but also worship.  In this context, Hazrat Abu Umama (R.A.) said, “Whoever worships awake on the night of Eid with faith and with the intention of reward, his heart will be free from the horrors of the Hour.”

Paradise becomes mandatory for one who worships five Rajini’s awake.  These are the nights of the 8th, 9th, and 10th of the month of Zilhajj, the night of Eid-ul-Fitr, and the night of the 15th of the month of Shaban, Shabba Baraat.

HISTORY OF EID UL FITR

Eid is the biggest religious festival of Muslims.  According to Islam, Eid comes twice a year.  First is Eid-ul-Fitr, the festival of giving.  Then Eid-ul-Azha, the festival of renunciation.  The celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr started after the migration of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to Madinah.

According to some historical accounts, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came to Madinah and saw that the people of Madinah were rejoicing on two days a year.  He asked, what are these two days?  They said, Nowroz and Mihirjan.  Nowroz festival is celebrated on an autumn full moon, and the Mihirjan festival is celebrated on a spring full moon.

Then Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “Allah has given you two better days instead of these two days, that is the day of Eid-Ul-Azha and Eid-Ul-Fitr.”  At the end of the month of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated together with joy.

According to researchers and experts on the subject, the first Eid was celebrated in 623 AD.

WHY DO PEOPLE CELEBRATE EID UL FITR

Holy Eid-ul-Fitr.  After a long month of Ramadan, today is the day to break that strict rule.  The people of the Islamic community rejoice in the joy of the holy Eid with family, relatives, and friends.

Muslims worship Allah early on the day of Eid.  According to Islam, 2 Rakat Eid Namaz with 6 Takbeer is read in any Maidan or big mosque or community hall.  After the scheduled time of Fajr prayer, it is time to pray Eid-ul-Fitr.

Muslims must perform this prayer.  There is a provision in Islam for the Imam to deliver the sermon before the Jumma prayer on Friday, but in the case of the Eid prayer, it is a rule in Islam to deliver it after the prayer.  According to the description of Islam, it is very auspicious for the Imam to deliver the sermon after the Eid-ul-Fitr prayer.

On this Eid-ul-Fitr day, eating dates or karma or sweets before going to pray is considered a virtuous act by Muslims. Also, according to Islam, on this day, you have to wear new clothes and stay clean.

To make up for any mistakes during fasting during the entire month of Ramadan, the people of the Islamic community donate some money as Fitra to the poor and needy on the day of Eid.
