History of National Daughter Day

There is confusion about International Girl Child Day and National Girl Child Day. The International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated on October 11 every year since 2012 in the member states of the United Nations. In addition, International Children’s Week is observed from September 29 to October 5 every year. The second day of this children’s week is September 30, National Girl Child Day.

There are three days related to daughter. One of which is Daughter’s Day. It is celebrated on the last Sunday of September, another National Day of the Girl Child (Girl Child Day) and the rest of International Day of the Girl Child. The date fixed for National Girl Child Day is 30 September.
