History of World Egg Day

The first ‘World Egg Day’ was celebrated in 1996 in Vienna, the capital of Austria, to meet the demand for animal meat, build a healthy and intelligent nation, and above all raise public awareness about the quality of eggs.  Which is celebrated every year on the second Friday of October.

 The UK-based International Egg Commission (IEC) was established in 1964 to establish eggs as a high-quality and readily available non-vegetarian food in the world.  Organized the first Egg Day in this organization.

 Currently, ‘World Egg Day’ is celebrated in 40 countries around the world, including the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, etc., and its scope and scope are increasing.

 In 2013, the Bangladesh Animal Agricultural Society (BAAS) was appointed as the Bangladesh representative of the International Ag Commission.  On October 11 of the same year, ‘World Egg Day’ was celebrated for the first time in Bangladesh.  It was the 18th World Egg Day.
